Carnegie Mellon University is launching an exciting new initiative—the STEP program, a cornerstone of our Major Administrative Systems Governance (MASG) effort to modernize core systems across finance, HR, research administration, and student information.

We’re seeking a dynamic, strategic leader to establish and lead this program. This role will:

✅ Drive governance and alignment across large-scale transformation projects

✅ Oversee project management standards and methodologies

✅ Lead change management and communication strategies

✅ Collaborate with senior leadership to shape CMU’s future systems and processes

Ideal Candidate

✔ 10+ years of experience in enterprise-scale transformation or IT governance

✔ Strong program/project management and change management expertise

✔ Ability to navigate complex environments and build trusted relationships
