Senior E-commerce Platform Engineer

Our client, a rapidly expanding online retailer, is looking for a highly skilled Senior E-commerce Platform Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our robust e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and high-performance online shopping experience for millions of customers worldwide. Your responsibilities will include architecting and developing new features and functionalities for our e-commerce website and associated backend systems. You will collaborate closely with product management, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality code. This role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, optimizing platform performance, and ensuring the security and integrity of customer data. You will also play a key role in evaluating and integrating third-party services and APIs, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools. Experience with microservices architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and modern CI/CD practices is highly valued.
