Trail Ready Program LLC is a structured hiking, safety, and outdoor-skills training program based in Las Vegas. We provide guided hikes, real-world instruction, and safety certifications that help members become confident, capable hikers. Our focus is on education, community, preparedness, and building a healthier outdoor lifestyle.
We host group hikes, offer a multi-level certification, and partner with local outdoor organizations. Our goal is to grow Trail Ready into a recognized training program for safe and responsible hiking in Southern Nevada.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a Freelance Marketing Specialist for a fixed 3-month contract to help expand Trail Ready’s visibility across social platforms and local outlets. This is not a content-writing role — all program descriptions, curriculum, and event write-ups are provided by the Program Director.
Your role is to take our existing messaging and turn it into consistent, professional marketing across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and local outreach channels.
This includes creating graphics, managing posts, coordinating small local ads, and designing marketing materials (posters/flyers) to support growth and community awareness.
This is a hands-on execution role for someone who knows how to apply small-business marketing strategies and drive local engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok posting schedules (3–5 posts/week)
- Format Client-provided messaging into posts, captions, and graphics
- Design flyers, posters, and promotional materials for local distribution (e.g., REI)
- Create simple branded content (social graphics, hike announcements, ads)
- Set up and manage small-scale Facebook/Instagram ads targeted to the Las Vegas area
- Maintain consistent posting rhythm and digital presence
- Assist with basic website funnel optimization (optional)
- Provide monthly performance summaries
Note: You will not write program curriculum, event descriptions, or Trail Ready rules — these are provided by the Program Director.
Qualifications
- Experience in digital marketing for small businesses or community programs
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (FB, IG, TikTok)
- Ability to design simple, clean graphics and flyers
- Experience running Facebook/Instagram ads
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to take direction and work with provided content
- Reliable communication and weekly accountability
- Familiarity with outdoor, recreation, or wellness marketing (preferred but not required)
- Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design tools
Compensation
This role pays $2,000 total for the full 3-month contract, paid monthly at approximately $650–$700 per month.
