  • *General Description**:

The

  • *VP Marketing **is responsible for leading all Marketing Brand Management for the Canada and International business. They will lead the strategic development and execution of business plans to consistently deliver corporate revenue and profit as well as market share targets. They effectively lead their direct team and cross functional partners to build the annual and long range plan (LRP) and work to deliver on those plans. The VP Marketing is a key leader on the Canada & International Post Leadership team (PLT) and the Growth Leadership Team (GLT). They have a clear and compelling vision behind driving the strategic roadmap for the business across Canada and International businesses which includes accountability for over 70 countries and over 50 distributors. The VP Marketing will partner closely with the General Manager responsible for the Canada and International business, the PLT, and collaborate with the Chief Growth Office, US VPs (Mktg, R&D, Legal) and GLT Team.

The VP Marketing and their team will be managing a strong set of brands and drive the strategic direction for consumer communication, trade strategy and innovation pipeline. They will direct and manage the strategic development and execution of new product launches, brand and market awareness, advertising, public relations initiatives to deliver against the business plan that they built. In addition to leading the Brand Management Team, they will also be responsible for leading Marketing Services team including Consumer Promotions, Packaging, Innovation and Consumer Insights. This individual will play a critical role in the monthly forecasting and budgeting process, contingency plan development and execution to ensure plan delivery. Externally, this role will lead agency relationships and negotiations and work with closely with industry partners. As well, a critical component of the role is being PCB lead in establishing, nurturing and managing all strategic partnerships across the Canada and International business including Tim Hortons, Mondelez International, Warner Brothers International.

The VP Marketing will drive enhanced organizational capability by building a core team of highly capable and committed marketing and marketing services leaders with strong coaching, mentoring and focus on people development. They will play a leadership role in talent development across functions and levels.

  • *Responsibilities**:
  • Develop and guide the objectives, goals and strategies for the business
  • Build, execute and deliver on the long range plan for the business that is aligned with the overall Canada & international business priorities and long term growth agenda
  • Strategic leader on decisions related to investment and revenue management - pricing, contingency planning, A&C investment levels and trade investment levels
  • Lead and manage across multiple functions of Brand Management professionals
  • Champion the integrated communications process to drive exceptional consumer communication working alongside internal and external partners
  • Translate consumer insights into the development of powerful ideas that build household penetration, consumer relevance and share for our brands.
  • Assess and prioritize business opportunities in environment of rapid change; gain stakeholder support
  • Guide the product commercialization process for the Canada and International business, collaborating with cross-functional teams across R&D, Packaging, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Finance and Sales.
  • Influence the commercialization process across borders even when significant hurdles are present
  • Build the 5 year innovation and renovation roadmap. Collaborate with the supporting functions. Prioritize and align resources across North American teams
  • Effectively demonstrate strong financial acumen, problem solving skills and ability to evaluate financial implications
