E-Commerce Technical Returns Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated E-Commerce Technical Returns Assistant to join our logistics team. This role involves managing the return process of technical and electronic products within our warehouse environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring efficient handling, inspection, and processing of returned items, supporting our commitment to excellent customer service and operational efficiency. Previous warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude are advantageous, along with familiarity with warehouse management systems.

Duties

• Receive and inspect returned products, verifying their condition and documenting findings accurately.
• Unboxing "buy-back" devices and performing thorough quality checks against purchase criteria.
• Running diagnostic software, checking hardware components (screens, ports, batteries), and wiping data.
• Manage devices handling tasks, including sorting, packing, and preparing items for refurbishment or resell.
• Selecting sold items, choosing protective packaging suitable for fragile tech, and generating shipping labels.
• Operate warehouse management systems to track returns, update inventory records, and generate reports.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all returned goods are processed promptly and correctly.
• Conduct basic mechanical assessments of returned items to determine repair needs or restore procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory management.
• Strong physical fitness to handle manual tasks throughout shifts.
