JOB DESCRIPTION
The Janet Mills for Senate campaign is seeking a creative, data-focused Deputy Digital Director for Fundraising to help develop and implement our campaign’s online fundraising strategy. The Deputy will work within the Digital team, in conjunction with the Finance team, to help raise money on behalf of the campaign.
The Deputy Digital Director for Fundraising reports directly to the Digital Director. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position based in Portland, Maine.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with the Digital Director, our digital firm, and others to manage our online fundraising program
- Develop fundraising concepts and implement them across email, text, social, and ads
- Manage our email partner program and develop relationships with partners to maximize support
- Work with the team to cultivate potential email and text signers
- Track, analyze, and report on online fundraising data, using it to support our program
- Co-manage the campaign’s SMS program, including drafting content, strategizing on list acquisition, and collaborating on ideas
- Work with the Finance team to meet and exceed our fundraising goals
- Manage our day-to-day online fundraising approvals
- Draft rapid response fundraising content as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 (two) years or cycles of experience on a digital fundraising program for a campaign, agency, or non-profit
- Experience working with or within an online fundraising firm
- Experience with SMS programs, specifically broadcast systems like Tatango and Switchboard
- Solid writing and data management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for data-driven processes
- A love of spreadsheets and numbers
- Experience with Adobe software, CRMs, HTML, ActBlue, and NGP preferred
- Access to cell phone and laptop
- A desire to work long and random campaign hours, including evenings and weekends in 2025.
- Ability to manage and complete multiple projects under competing and tight deadlines
