Position Overview

As part of our effort to enhance our digital experience, we are seeking a Paid Media Decision Science Analyst to join our marketing analytics team. In this role, you will leverage advanced analytics skills to transform data insights into actionable strategies that improve our digital sales experience. You will work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, with in-office collaboration required 4 days per week at select locations including San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in cross-functional discussions to understand business objectives and influence solution strategies using intermediate to advanced analytical and technical expertise.
- Apply innovative analytical techniques to solve medium-to-large scale business challenges and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Develop communication materials and visualizations to present findings effectively to peers and mid-to-upper level management.
- Identify, integrate, and transform disparate data sources while ensuring data quality and proper data hygiene.
- Document assumptions, methodologies, validations and testing procedures to facilitate peer reviews and ensure compliance.
- Adopt emerging technologies and quantitative analytical approaches that drive strategic business decisions and risk management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Science or a related quantitative field; OR 4 years of related experience in statistics, mathematics or quantitative analytics may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- 4 years of experience in data/analytics or functional business roles in industries such as Banking, Finance, or Property & Casualty; OR an advanced degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proven competency in mathematical and statistical techniques, with experience using data analysis tools, data visualization software, SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in paid media analytics with direct platform experience.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
- Experience with tagging tools like Tealium and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
- Expertise in journey analysis involving clickstream and behavioral data mining.
- Proficiency in SQL is required; experience with Python is a plus.
- Background in predictive modeling.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $93,770 - $179,240. USAA assesses market data to determine appropriate compensation based on experience and location, with the potential for additional pay incentives based on corporate and individual performance.
