Job Description

Blackout Coffee Co. is a fast-growing coffee company looking for a skilled Marketing & Creative Contractor to provide freelance support on a project and deliverable basis. This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional who can manage content creation, graphic design, and marketing initiatives independently while collaborating occasionally on-site.

We are seeking a highly skilled freelance Marketing & Creative Contractor to develop and execute marketing initiatives, create high-quality graphics, and produce photo and video content for our brand. This is a 1099 contractor role, project-based and deliverable-focused.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of marketing, graphic design, or creative experience
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with Canva and other creative tools
  • Good understanding of social media platforms and content strategy
  • Knowledge of paid digital marketing (META, Google Ads, etc.)
  • Experience with Shopify or e-commerce platforms
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have photography and video editing skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, social media, and e-commerce platforms to enhance brand visibility and engagement
  • Design and manage marketing materials including product labels, packaging, banners, email graphics, and promotional content
  • Manage content creation including copywriting, graphic design, and multimedia assets using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Create and manage social media posts, content calendars, and visual branding across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X
  • Implement social media marketing strategies to grow followers and foster community engagement
  • Produce creative assets for paid advertising campaigns (META, Google, and other digital platforms)
  • Coordinate advertising efforts by creating compelling ad content for print, Google Ads, and paid social campaigns
  • Optimize website and landing page content using WordPress, HTML, and SEO best practices to improve search rankings and user experience
  • Assist with Shopify website updates, product launches, and e-commerce content
  • Utilize marketing automation and analytics tools such as Google Analytics to track performance, analyze trends, and refine strategies
  • Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and target audiences to support B2B and content marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with product and leadership teams to develop promotional materials that support launches and sales initiatives
  • Manage campaign budgets and timelines while ensuring alignment with company goals
  • Plan, shoot, and produce in-house photo and video content for social media, advertising, website, and product launches
  • Be responsible for capturing high-quality lifestyle, product, and behind-the-scenes content on a regular basis
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels and communications
  • Contractor provides their own equipment and workspace

Compensation

  • Competitive project-based pay, negotiable based on experience and deliverables
  • Payment via invoice on agreed-upon schedule

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
