The Opportunity

Associate Manager, eCommerce Digital Merchandising

The Associate Manager, eCommerce Digital Merchandising is an integral role in delivering Canadian Tire’s digital merchandising strategic initiatives across the Canadian Tire and Party City Websites (canadiantire.ca & partycity.ca) by delivering engaging, conversion-focused, and customer-centric shopping experiences.

Working closely with the Digital Merchandising Operations, Merchandising/Business Lines, UX, Marketing, Brand, Analytics teams, the Associate Manager ensures that product stories, seasonal campaigns, and curated content are delivered seamlessly to the customer while meeting commercial goals and business objectives. You will support the day-to-day operations of the Digital (eCommerce) Merchandising team on the Canadian Tire Retail and Party City Websites to deliver a best-in-class customer experience. The Digital Merchandising team is responsible for driving eCommerce and brick-and-mortar sales by working collaboratively across the organization to execute a strong digital strategy that prioritizes the customer and drives results for the business.

What you’ll do

  • Own day?to?day digital merchandising priorities for Party City across canadiantire.ca and partycity.ca, ensuring the right products, promotions, and seasonal events are featured on the site
  • Plan and execute onsite support for key campaigns, launches, and enterprise initiatives in partnership with Merchandising, Marketing, UX, Brand, and Analytics teams
  • Translate business and merchandising priorities into clear, customer?friendly online experiences that drive conversion, engagement, and sales
  • Use performance data and customer insights to evaluate what’s working on the site and make recommendations to scale improvements across banners
  • Support and improve digital merchandising processes, frameworks, and ways of working to increase speed, consistency, and quality across banners
  • Act as a central point of contact between multiple teams to coordinate timelines, resolve issues, and keep initiatives moving forward
  • Provide digital merchandising and eCommerce expertise to partners and stakeholders, helping guide decisions and align on best practices
  • Anticipate changes, shifting priorities, and potential risks, and adjust plans to ensure consistent, high?quality execution

What you bring

  • 3–5 years of experience working in eCommerce, digital merchandising, digital operations, or a related digital role
  • A solid understanding of how customers shop online and how website experiences can influence conversion, engagement, and sales
  • Highly Organized, action-oriented, self-starter with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity and change
  • A process?improvement mindset, with experience identifying inefficiencies, simplifying ways of working, and helping teams operate more consistently and effectively across digital merchandising workflows
  • Experience working cross?functionally with teams such as Merchandising, Marketing, UX, Analytics, or Technology to deliver shared goals
  • The ability to clearly communicate ideas and insights, including presenting recommendations or results to senior stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset—you enjoy building relationships, aligning teams, and solving problems together
  • Hands?on experience working with content management systems and supporting website updates or digital experiences
  • A working knowledge of UX and web design best practices, and an eye for what makes online experiences clear and easy to use
  • Experience with eCommerce analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Adobe Analytics, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) to support analysis, planning, and communication
