Role Description
We are seeking a Shopify Plus Ecommerce Project Lead Contractor for a full-time, hybrid position located in Markham, Ontario. This role is a 6-8 month contract based on the successful implementation of our new website and redesign.
The role involves managing and optimizing our Shopify Plus platform requirements as we make the switch from our outdated Magento website to this new one. We are not only looking to deliver an exceptional online shopping experience for our current DTC consumers, but also creating a brand new portal for our B2B customers.
Expectations of the Role
- Leading the Shopify project by shifting the website, data, business, products and customers from Magento (Open Source) to Shopify Plus
- Working with the agency of our choosing to ensure requirements, rules, workback schedules and budget limits are met appropriately
- Shaping our new platform’s UX, digital marketing and ecommerce strategy, reflecting the business and our business model
- Creating a B2B portal on Shopify Plus with a hired agency alongside the DTC website(s) that suit our frequent buyers and entice others to sign up with us as a direct dealer
Through your work with Rapido, we would love you to also implement the following responsibilities to help you grow within your role and looking to the future:
- Understanding Rapido’s business, products, and customers and shaping the website to reflect these unique attributes
- Being knowledgeable about upcoming Rapido product launches and shipments
- Being able to help load content on the website including:
- New product pages with product information and images
- Updating images and other product information over the life of a product’s development and delivery
- Bulk uploading product, customer, and account information when required
- Correcting information pertaining to products and customer accounts
- Resolving customer account issues through phone calls and email
- Coordinating regularly with project managers, marketing and PR managers, content providers, and company management for website and back-office changes
- Ensuring website security and data protection is current and operational
- Monitoring and analyzing website performance
- Understanding Business Central and how inventory affects the front-end website
- Ensuring optimal payment and account performance on the website (triaging where needed)
- Escalating any website and back office-related issues to service providers and ensuring resolution
Qualifications We're Looking For
- Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate sales data, identify trends, and inform decision-making
- Exceptional Customer Service and Communication skills to effectively work with teams and address customer needs
- Experience in E-Commerce platforms, specifically Shopify Plus
- Proven abilities in Sales and driving revenue growth through optimized online platforms
- Project management skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and SEO
- Previous experience with a website rebuild and redesign
Please note that while this is a 6-8 month contract role, upon successful implementation and redesign this has the likelihood of becoming a permanent role.
