About the Role

Paxton Marketing is seeking a Senior Paid Media Strategist to oversee and scale a high-volume digital advertising operation managing over $500,000 per month in Google Ads spend.

This role will manage and optimize Search, Performance Max (PMax), and Vehicle Listing Ads (VLA) campaigns for automotive dealerships, focusing on lead quality, conversion rate, and cost per acquisition.

We are looking for a data-driven strategist who knows how to structure accounts, track attribution, and maximize ROI — not just “push buttons in Google Ads.”

This is a remote-friendly role (U.S.) or hybrid in Jacksonville, FL, giving access to the best talent nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and scale $500K+ monthly Google Ads budget
  • Optimize Search, Performance Max, and VLA campaigns for multiple dealership accounts
  • Improve lead quality, cost per lead, and conversion rates
  • Structure campaigns for scalability and efficiency
  • Monitor attribution and conversion tracking accuracy
  • Work with marketing and creative teams to improve campaign performance
  • Deliver performance reporting and insights

Required Experience

  • Proven experience managing large-scale Google Ads budgets ($250K+/month)
  • Advanced experience with Performance Max campaigns
  • Experience with Vehicle Listing Ads (VLA) or automotive digital marketing
  • Strong knowledge of conversion tracking, GA4, and attribution
  • Data-driven decision making and ability to scale campaigns profitably
  • Remote communication skills with weekly reporting and campaign walkthroughs

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 (DOE)
