Event Planner Specialist & Digital Marketing support (M/F)

Main Functions
Main missions of the position
The Event Planner Specialist & Digital Marketing Support will join the Savory & Biotech (S&B) Lallemand Bio-Ingredients Marketing team to help accelerate the implementation of our 5-Year Plan and strengthen our position as a global Agile Specialties Player. This role will primarily focus on planning, coordinating, and executing events for the Savory category, while progressively expanding responsibilities in digital marketing to support the broader marketing and communication strategy.
Although the position will work closely with the North American team and support their event and marketing needs, it will also collaborate with other regions as required.

You’ll progressively take on more responsibility in communication, digital content creation, and cross‑category marketing initiatives.
Principal activities and tasks
- Coordinate all activities related to exhibitions and trade shows, both inter-BU and in collaboration with other Lallemand Group companies.
- Manage communication with stand builders, graphic designers, and external partners, ensuring timely and accurate completion of artwork and booth materials once content is approved by the Category Manager.
- Oversee logistics for events, including bookings, the shipment of samples, marketing materials, and demos in collaboration with Applied R&D.
- Explore and evaluate new event opportunities in selected markets, providing recommendations based on strategic fit, and potential impact.
- Act as the main point of contact for event-related activities for the North American team, while supporting other regions when needed.
Digital Marketing & Communication Support (Growth Area)
- Contribute to the development and execution of digital marketing initiatives, supporting the team in content creation and campaign deployment.
- Assist in the analysis of marketing campaign performance (audience behavior, CTR, engagement metrics) to propose budget allocations, optimizations, and cost-saving opportunities for the next fiscal year.
- Support the continued rollout and adoption of the Customer Data Platform (CDP), including segmentation activities and digital communication workflows.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent brand messaging and alignment across digital channels.
Internal and external relations
The Event Planner builds and manages relationships with exhibition organizers, media partners, and Marketing Managers across other divisions. The role also collects, organizes, and translates input from the Sales & Marketing team into actionable plans for events and communication activities.
Working conditions and work location
Hybrid (3+2): Montreal Headquarters
Travel may be required for key events, such as kick‑off meetings and selected international exhibitions
Technical skills
Required
- Bilingual (French, English)
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Experience in event planning, trade show coordination, or similar roles
- Digital marketing literacy and willingness to grow into a more strategic digital role
- Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to the needs of different regions, with a particular focus on North America
An asset
- Creative mindset, attention to detail, and strong communication skills
- 1-3 years’ experience in similar role
- Understanding of the Food Industry / Chemistry
