The Regional Marketing Director will drive essential customer marketing initiatives for a key product in our Oncology unit, specifically aimed at treating recurrent H3 K27M mutant Diffuse Midline Glioma. This role involves collaboration across various functional teams and building strategic relationships with prominent opinion leaders in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and nurture strong relationships with regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) through various platforms, including meetings, virtual communications, and participation at congresses and advisory boards.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance KOL advocacy and refine our approach to gathering insights through effective relationship management.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of the Neuro Oncology market, including treatment specifics and regional referral patterns.
  • Develop and implement strategic engagement plans based on market insights and trends.
  • Participate in national and regional medical conferences to represent the company and its initiatives.
  • Create and enhance engagement plans to strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders and KOLs.
  • Support the development of speaker bureaus through recruitment, content development, training, and execution of educational programs.
  • Assist in organizing advisory boards and projects focused on generating actionable insights.
  • Prioritize marketing tactics to suit regional needs and support KOL education efforts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional KOL engagements and drive task forces for successful product launches and growth.
  • Work with Medical Affairs, Sales teams, and external partners to organize commercial advisory boards as required.
  • Contribute to Patient Advocacy initiatives and explore partnerships at Congresses.
  • Help develop marketing materials to support initiatives led by the Regional Marketing team.
  • Ensure all marketed initiatives are compliant with legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Continuously update regional plans and insights gathering processes to optimize engagement with thought leaders.
  • Collaborate with team members to assess market conditions and facilitate connections between Regional Marketing Managers and KOLs.
  • Provide mentorship and insights to Account Managers to enhance their understanding and effectiveness in local markets.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, focusing on KOL engagement and marketing.
  • At least 2 years of specific experience in neuro oncology required.
  • A minimum of 2 years in rare diseases is essential.
  • Direct KOL-facing experience is a must.
  • Experience in biomarker testing/diagnostics is highly desirable.
  • Launch experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and strategic relationship management abilities.
  • A robust understanding of oncologic clinical medicine is required.
  • A track record of high performance, leadership, and the ability to work effectively with remote teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to manage complex projects and timelines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to project changes and quickly implement new strategies.
  • This field-based position requires residency within the designated region.
  • Willingness to travel domestically 50-60% of the time, including approximately three days per week in the field and occasional weekend work.

Education and Licenses

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in life sciences or a related discipline.
  • Graduate degree is preferred.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is committed to fair compensation practices. For this role, the base pay range is $172,000.00 - $258,000.00. Compensation will depend on various factors including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and other pertinent factors.
