Position Description

Field & Fork Network is seeking a Digital Engagement Manager to advance our mission and amplify our impact through thoughtful storytelling, inclusive digital engagement, and data-informed content strategy. This role manages and grows the organization’s digital presence across social media, supporting integrated communications efforts that strengthen program visibility, deepen relationships with supporters, and advance fundraising.

The ideal candidate is a mission-driven communicator with a strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach to their work. They bring experience in content strategy, social media management, audience engagement, and digital analytics, and are eager to use digital tools to build connection. This position reports to the Director of Communications & Development.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Production

  • Manage Field & Fork Network and Double Up Food Bucks NY’s social media presence across Facebook, YouTube, Bluesky, and Instagram
  • Draft, edit, and publish high-performing social media content aligned with Field & Fork Network’s voice, mission, and goals
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of an organization-wide content calendar aligned with campaigns, programs, and strategic priorities
  • Work cross-functionally to grow the organization’s social media presence and develop effective storytelling strategies
  • Manage relationships with digital vendors, consultants, and creative contractors as needed
  • Cultivate and manage online communities by engaging members, moderating conversations, and amplifying brand voice across digital channels.

Audience Engagement

  • Support the execution of a multi-channel communications strategy to increase mission awareness, program visibility, donor engagement, and partner support
  • Tailor content by platform and audience while maintaining a consistent tone and voice
  • Attract new audiences and deepen engagement across social, search, email, and third-party platforms
  • Establish and promote best practices for audience cultivation and engagement across the organization

Data, Analytics & Optimization

  • Track, analyze, and report on key digital metrics including list growth, engagement, conversion rates, and mobilization outcomes
  • Conduct testing and implement data-driven improvements to optimize performance and engagement
  • Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social insights, email marketing dashboards) to measure performance and ROI
  • Prepare regular reports on content performance, audience behavior, and engagement trends
  • Use data insights to inform content strategy and continuously refine digital efforts
  • Collaborate with staff to strengthen SEO, including optimizing headlines, keywords, and search terms

Digital Innovation & Best Practices

  • Stay current on digital trends, tools, and industry best practices
  • Recommend and test new channels, formats, and strategies to improve reach and engagement
  • Lead the implementation and effective use of digital tools and platforms

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in communications, digital marketing, or social media management; including experience as a manager or strategist
  • Expert knowledge of social media trends and best practices for both organic and paid content
  • Familiarity with user experience principles and SEO-driven content strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using native social analytics and performance metrics
  • Experience with A/B testing, multivariate testing, or advanced analytics
  • Graphic design and/or video editing experience using tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize projects, and balance urgent short-term needs with long-term initiatives
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across teams

What We Offer

  • The expected salary range for this position is 63,000-72,000.
  • Your salary is supplemented with a competitive benefits package including health benefits, paid time off, and 401(k) employer match.
  • Field & Fork Network operates in Buffalo, NY under a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.
