The opportunity

As a part of the Global Business Services (GBS) team at EY, you will lead organizations through their transformation agendas by specializing in innovative GBS and Outsourcing models. You will play a crucial role in integrating digital capabilities and promoting cross-functional collaboration.

We are in search of a GBS Manager to execute client engagements that span finance, HR, supply chain, procurement, and technology. In this pivotal position, you will collaborate with clients of all sizes—from local businesses to multinational corporations—driving GBS strategy, transformation, and performance improvement initiatives. Your rich experience in shared services, outsourcing, process optimization, and digital enablement will be key in guiding project teams and working alongside client stakeholders.

This role offers valuable exposure across various sectors, including consumer, energy, health and life sciences, industrial manufacturing, media, and technology.

Your key responsibilities

As a GBS Manager, you will

• Lead project delivery, manage teams, and cultivate client relationships while ensuring high-quality outcomes.

You will spearhead GBS transformation initiatives in:

• GBS Strategy & Operating Model Support
• Assist in the creation of robust GBS operating models across key functions such as Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Customer Operations.
• Conduct maturity assessments and support roadmap development aligned with organizational priorities.
• Help design process architectures, governance models, service catalogs, and organizational structures.
• Support the development of service management frameworks, including SLAs, dashboards, and continuous improvement tools.
• Sector-Focused Delivery
• Apply insights and best practices across sectors such as Consumer & Retail, Industrial Manufacturing, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, and Health & Life Sciences.
• Translate industry benchmarks and regulatory requirements into actionable recommendations for clients.
• Cross-Functional GBS Transformation
• Manage multi-process transformation programs utilizing automation, analytics, and technologies like ServiceNow.
• Support transitions and change management across global delivery models.
• Collaborate with digital teams to integrate innovative solutions like AI, RPA, and intelligent workflows.
• Project Leadership & Client Management
• Oversee day-to-day project execution to ensure quality and timelines while maintaining client engagement.
• Lead, mentor, and coach project teams in alignment with global client stakeholders.
• Organize working sessions and manage project communications, including leadership updates.
• Practice Development
• Contribute to the development of GBS methodologies, tools, and sector-specific offerings.
• Assist in proposal development and market outreach efforts.
• Mentor junior team members, supporting capability building within the team.
• Thought Leadership
• Share insights regarding emerging GBS trends related to AI, global talent models, and enterprise service management.
• Participate in forums and events to showcase your expertise.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor's degree with approximately 5-7 years of relevant experience or a master's degree with around 4-6 years in similar roles.
• Experience in finance advisory services, focusing on operating model design and performance management.
• Experience managing or supporting Finance Transformation or ERP initiatives.
• A proven track record of leading teams and delivering workstreams effectively.

Ideally, you'll also have

• An advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Operations.
• Relevant certifications, such as CPA, are highly desirable.
