You will work closely with the Manager of Group Marketing to create engaging marketing materials and digital content for Group Benefits products. This includes brochures, presentations, website updates, and plain-language communications for product launches, enhancements, and promotions.

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

What you'll do:

  • Develop, update and maintain creative marketing materials for advisor and client audiences, working closely with marketing and product experts
  • Develop content for and maintain our digital properties
  • Develop content for social media
  • Recommend marketing plans and campaigns for digital/client experience enhancements
  • Write creative and / or technical internal and external communications (includes (brochures, guides, flyers, presentations)
  • Establish schedules and budgets for marketing campaigns and launches
  • Work with Corporate Marketing (i.e. Graphics Services) on the production of marketing materials, and Corporate Communications (ex. Social Media, Video Services, Translation) on communications and content development
  • Take a proactive role in adopting and monitoring Corporate Communications and Corporate Marketing standards for product communication and marketing (ex. Fair Treatment of Clients policy, accessibility guidelines.)

What you'll bring:

  • Three to five years of financial services industry experience, particularly in the marketing of Insurance products
  • Post secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Experience in updating digital properties and using analytics to help measure success
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to collaborate with other marketing and product experts, compliance, legal, designers and suppliers as well as various levels of management.
  • Proven creativity through written and visual representation (ex. promotional copy, concepts for ads and campaigns)
  • Demonstrated success in marketing communications
  • Ability to work well under deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Prior experience working with creative designers and knowledge about design principles are assets
  • Bilingual, spoken and written (French and English) considered an asset

Your base pay will be based on your skills, qualifications, experience and education. In addition to your salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award tied to business performance, plus a wide range of competitive benefits.
