Prepress Operator – Offset & Digital Printing

Associated Printing Productions, Inc. (APPi), 2025 Florida’s Best Printer is a fast-growing, award-winning commercial printing, direct mail, and fulfillment company based in Miami Lakes, Florida. As we continue to expand our production capabilities, we are seeking an experienced Prepress Operator to join our team and support both offset and digital print operations.

Position Summary

The Prepress Operator is responsible for preparing customer files for offset and digital production, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency throughout the prepress workflow. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate closely with production, sales, and customer service teams.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare, review, and preflight customer files for offset and digital printing

· Perform color corrections, trapping, imposition, and proofing

· Create and manage plates for offset presses

· Ensure files meet press, finishing, and mailing specifications

· Troubleshoot file issues and communicate solutions clearly

· Maintain consistent color standards and quality control

· Work with multiple file formats and variable data when required

· Meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

· Minimum 3+ years of offset and digital printing prepress experience in a commercial printing environment

· Hands-on experience with offset and digital prepress workflows

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)

· Strong understanding of color management, imposition, and RIP workflows

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with mailing or variable data printing

· Knowledge of PDF workflows and automation

· Familiarity with commercial printing presses and finishing processes

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
