As a Senior Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing customer relationships within the dynamic Retail and E-Commerce sector. You will drive cloud adoption and revenue growth across AWS's extensive array of services, with a special focus on GenAI and Agentic AI solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in retail/e-commerce business models and strategic account planning, especially those comfortable engaging C-suite executives to spearhead digital transformation and AI-driven innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and nurture customer relationships across retail and e-commerce accounts, being the primary point of contact for AWS.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with customer business goals and AWS growth targets.
  • Achieve annual revenue objectives through the acquisition of new workloads, expanding existing services, and securing multi-year agreements.
  • Establish and maintain strong executive relationships with C-suite stakeholders including Chief Digital Officers, Chief Marketing Officers, Chief Merchandising Officers, Chief Product & Technology Officers, and Chief Information Officers.

Sales Execution

  • Identify, qualify, and successfully close sales opportunities from prospecting to closing.
  • Clearly communicate the AWS value propositions tailored for retail-specific applications, including e-commerce platforms, personalization strategies, supply chain optimization, customer data platforms, and omnichannel solutions.
  • Work in collaboration with Solutions Architects, Customer Solutions Managers, Technical Account Managers, Partner Sales/Development Managers, and Specialist Sales teams to provide comprehensive solutions and expand partner opportunities.
  • Utilize the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), Professional Services, and partner networks to expedite customer adoption.
  • Partner with Marketing on crafting customer references, developing case studies, and participating in industry events.

Business Planning & Reporting

  • Keep detailed pipeline and forecast data updated in Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as pipeline health, win rates, customer meetings, and partner engagements.
  • Create Value Maps and business cases to illustrate ROI and TCO benefits for customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • A proven track record in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals.
  • Ability to build strategic relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicating and collaborating across teams.
  • 6+ years of experience in technology sales involving enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting, or cloud services.
  • Demonstrable experience in creating and executing long-term transformational account strategies in a customer-facing environment.
  • Skill in engaging and influencing C-level executives, both from a business and technical perspective.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience within the e-commerce, hi-tech, or retail industry, or in management consulting focusing on these sectors.
  • 4+ years of experience in developing profitable partner ecosystems.
