As a Senior Account Manager, you will take a key role in nurturing valued customer relationships within the exciting Retail and E-Commerce industry. Your efforts will focus on promoting cloud adoption and driving revenue growth across AWS's extensive service offerings, particularly in GenAI and Agentic AI solutions. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals with a robust background in retail or e-commerce business models and strategic account management, especially those experienced in engaging C-suite executives to lead digital transformation and foster AI-driven innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and cultivate customer relationships across retail and e-commerce sectors, becoming the primary AWS contact.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that align with both customer objectives and AWS growth goals.
- Achieve yearly revenue targets by acquiring new workloads, extending existing services, and securing long-term contracts.
- Build and sustain strong connections with C-suite stakeholders including Chief Digital Officers, Chief Marketing Officers, Chief Merchandising Officers, Chief Product & Technology Officers, and Chief Information Officers.
Sales Execution
- Identify, qualify, and successfully close sales opportunities from initial prospecting to final agreement.
- Effectively communicate AWS value propositions tailored for retail-specific needs encompassing e-commerce platforms, personalization, supply chain efficiency, customer data platforms, and omnichannel strategies.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Customer Solutions Managers, Technical Account Managers, Partner Sales/Development Managers, and Specialist Sales teams to deliver integrated solutions and broaden partner opportunities.
- Leverage the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), Professional Services, and partner networks to speed up customer adoption.
- Work alongside Marketing to create customer references, develop impactful case studies, and engage in industry events.
Business Planning & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive pipeline and forecast data within Salesforce (SFDC).
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers and key internal stakeholders.
- Track and provide updates on essential performance metrics such as pipeline health, win rates, customer engagements, and partner collaborations.
- Develop Value Maps and business cases to demonstrate ROI and TCO benefits for customers.

Basic Qualifications
- A demonstrated history of identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology agreements.
- Capability to establish strategic relationships with key stakeholders, effectively communicating and collaborating across multiple teams.
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in technology sales with a focus on enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting, or cloud services.
- Proven success in creating and executing long-term transformation account strategies in customer-facing roles.
- Ability to engage and influence C-level executives from both business and technical viewpoints.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience within the e-commerce, high-tech, or retail sectors, or management consulting focused on these industries.
- More than 4 years of experience in cultivating profitable partner ecosystems.
