Job Summary

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide marketing strategy that drives revenue growth, brand strength, and guest engagement across all Blake Farms revenue centers. This role owns the marketing vision, strategy, and performance for Retail, Restaurant, Wholesale, Festivals, Private Events & Banquets, Farm Operations, and Agritainment departments.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Marketing partners closely with executive leadership, revenue leaders, and department heads to translate company objectives into actionable, measurable marketing initiatives. This role balances high-level strategic leadership with hands-on executional oversight, ensuring marketing efforts are aligned with business priorities, seasonal demand, and long-term growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategy that supports company-wide revenue, brand, and growth objectives.
  • Establish annual and quarterly marketing priorities aligned with company goals, financial targets, and key initiatives.
  • Serve as the senior marketing partner to executive leadership, providing strategic insight, recommendations, and performance reporting.
  • Ensure brand consistency and strategic alignment across all properties, channels, and guest touchpoints.

Revenue-Center Marketing Ownership

  • Own marketing strategy and performance across all revenue-generating business units, including:
  • Retail
  • Restaurants
  • Wholesale
  • Festivals & Seasonal Events
  • Private Events & Banquets
  • Farm Operations
  • Agritainment
  • Partner with department leaders to identify growth opportunities, demand drivers, and revenue optimization strategies.
  • Translate business unit goals into integrated marketing plans with clear KPIs and accountability.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead the development of location-specific and business-unit-specific marketing strategies, with clear quarterly objectives and performance benchmarks.
  • Oversee the execution of major campaigns, launches, seasonal initiatives, and enterprise priorities.
  • Balance long-term brand building with short-term revenue-driving initiatives.
  • Ensure marketing plans are executed on time, on budget, and with measurable impact.

Performance, Analytics & Insights

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators across digital, traditional, and on-site marketing channels.
  • Deliver regular performance reporting and insights to executive leadership, tying marketing outcomes directly to revenue and business performance.
  • Use data, research, and consumer insights to inform decision-making, campaign optimization, and future planning.
  • Own forecasting, budget management, and ROI analysis for marketing investments.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing team across creative, digital, media, and project management functions.
  • Set clear expectations, priorities, and accountability for the marketing organization.
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, Events, Hospitality, and Farm leadership.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and partner to department heads while maintaining enterprise-level perspective.

Brand, Media & Communications Oversight

  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and storytelling across all channels and guest experiences.
  • Guide traditional and digital media strategy, including paid media, social, email, content, and on-property marketing.
  • Ensure marketing efforts support both brand equity and revenue conversion.
  • Maintain regular communication with ownership and senior leadership regarding brand health, market opportunities, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 6-8+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility.
  • Proven experience leading marketing strategy across multiple revenue streams or business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to align marketing strategy with revenue growth, financial performance, and enterprise goals.
  • Strong background in data-driven decision-making, analytics, and performance management.
  • Experience building, leading, and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, align, and communicate across leadership levels.
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, food & beverage, agritainment, or consumer-facing brands preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Variable work hours, including weekends and holidays, based on seasonal demands
  • Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, physically demanding environment; lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
