Senior Marketing Data Analyst

This role is essential for unlocking insights from vast amounts of marketing data, driving data-informed decision-making, and optimizing marketing campaign performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background, proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, and a passion for translating complex data into actionable strategies. You will be responsible for developing dashboards, conducting A/B tests, analyzing customer behavior, and reporting on key marketing metrics to stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze marketing campaign data from various channels (digital, social, email, traditional) to measure effectiveness and ROI. Develop and maintain comprehensive marketing dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Conduct deep-dive analysis into customer behavior, segmentation, and lifetime value. Design and execute A/B tests and multivariate tests to optimize website performance, campaign elements, and user experience. Collaborate with marketing teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress towards goals. Identify trends, patterns, and insights within marketing data and translate them into actionable recommendations. Perform ad-hoc analysis to support strategic marketing initiatives and answer business questions. Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility. Develop predictive models for customer churn, acquisition, and campaign response. Present findings and insights clearly and concisely to marketing leadership and other stakeholders. Stay current with the latest data analysis techniques and marketing analytics tools. Contribute to the development of data governance and best practices within the marketing department. Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing technology stack.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing analytics or data analysis. Proven experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn). Deep understanding of marketing principles and campaign metrics. Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and other experimental designs. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences. Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems. Experience working in an office-based environment in Richmond, Virginia, US .
