Red Barn Media Group is a performance-focused digital marketing agency serving HVAC, plumbing, and home service contractors across the U.S. and Canada. We build websites, run paid advertising, and execute local SEO strategies that drive measurable revenue growth for our clients.

We are looking for an SEO Specialist who understands that rankings are important, but revenue is the goal.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an agency environment and wants to build real search performance for real businesses.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute local SEO strategies for HVAC and plumbing clients
• Perform keyword research focused on buyer intent and service-area targeting
• Build and optimize service pages and geo-location pages
• Conduct technical SEO audits and coordinate implementation with our dev team
• Analyze competitor performance and identify ranking opportunities
• Monitor rankings, traffic, and conversions and adjust strategy accordingly
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and paid media specialists
• Contribute to ongoing SEO process improvement and innovation

What Success Looks Like

• Clients ranking in top positions for high-intent local keywords
• Growth in organic leads and booked jobs
• Clear reporting tied to performance, not vanity metrics
• Clean, scalable on-page and geo-targeted SEO structure

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of SEO experience (agency experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of on-page SEO and local SEO fundamentals
• Experience with tools such as Cora, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, GA4, etc.
• Working knowledge of technical SEO concepts
• Comfortable editing HTML/CSS directly to implement SEO improvements (title tags/meta, heading structure, internal linking, canonical tags, structured data, and basic layout/content updates).
• Strong written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and process-driven
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, in-office team environment

Experience in home services or local service-based businesses is a strong plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
