Marketing with Entertainment Marketing Experience

LumiBug is hiring a Marketing to support the planning and execution of marketing across our books, comics, video games, and funding campaigns. This role combines data-informed decision support with hands-on creative marketing execution. The Marketing Associate uses AI tools as part of daily workflows for research, drafting, organization, and iteration.

This is a support role designed to help the Founders make better decisions faster and to help the studio ship campaigns cleanly, consistently, and on schedule.

Core Responsibilities

Funding Campaigns (Kickstarter + GoFundMe)

  • Support pre-launch setup, launch messaging, campaign updates, and momentum planning across the full campaign cycle
  • Maintain clarity and consistency across rewards, stretch goals, timelines, updates, and community response
  • Assist with copywriting drafts, audience touchpoints, and launch-day coordination

Campaign Strategy

  • Support multi-channel marketing plans across email, social, video, community, and creator platforms
  • Align marketing plans with studio priorities, deliverables, and production timelines
  • Help coordinate staggered releases across multiple IPs without confusing the audience

Market Research

  • Research comparable projects, audience behavior, platform trends, and positioning opportunities
  • Translate research into clear, usable recommendations
  • Provide concise "what this means for us" summaries instead of long reports

AI in Daily Workflows

  • Use AI tools to support research, drafting, brainstorming, planning, and organization
  • Keep AI usage practical and transparent, focused on faster iteration and stronger output
  • Verify accuracy and ensure all outputs remain aligned with LumiBug's voice and standards

Content + Brand

  • Support consistent brand voice across multiple IPs
  • Help plan and schedule organic content across video, email, and community
  • Translate complex story worlds into clear entry points for new audiences

Performance Tracking

  • Track key performance signals (reach, engagement, clicks, list growth, conversions)
  • Identify what is working, what is stalling, and what is confusing audiences
  • Recommend adjustments based on data and observed audience response

Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Founders, Social Media Manager, and project collaborators to keep marketing accurate, consistent, and aligned with production reality

Duties

  • Manage content creation for websites, blogs, social media platforms, and email newsletters using tools like Microsoft 365, WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Implement SEO best practices to optimize online content for search engines and improve organic traffic.
  • Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline campaigns, track performance, and nurture leads through targeted messaging.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, analyze competitors, and uncover new opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with product management and sales teams to develop promotional materials that align with brand goals.
  • Manage advertising sales efforts by creating compelling pitches for potential partners or sponsors.
  • Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Advertising metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and refine strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinate print advertising efforts including designing materials and managing budgets for offline promotions.
  • Leverage entertainment experience to craft engaging content that appeals to diverse audiences while maintaining brand consistency.

Experience

  • Proven experience in digital marketing, content marketing, or related roles with a focus on multichannel campaigns.
  • Familiarity with SEO, Google AdWords, Facebook Advertising, and performance marketing techniques.
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for content creation.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Background in entertainment or media industries is highly desirable to bring creative flair into campaigns.
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to craft compelling messages across various formats.
  • Experience managing budgets for advertising or promotional projects effectively.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify or WooCommerce is a plus.
  • Ability to research market trends thoroughly and translate insights into impactful marketing strategies.
