Business Analyst, Enterprise Program Management Office

Balyasny Asset Management (BAM) is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). This role is central to how we track, analyze, and communicate progress on key firm-wide initiatives. You will support the EPMO team by owning core reporting and analytics, partnering with program managers on major projects, and helping to automate and improve our processes using BAM’s data and AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the EPMO team with core reporting and analytics for senior leadership, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of key insights
• Building and maintaining reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Working closely with project or program managers on cross-functional initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline recurring reporting and workflows, including through AI-enabled tools, driving efficiency and innovation.
• Execute ad-hoc analysis and special projects to support the COO organization and EPMO.
• Serve as a critical enabler for the EPMO, ensuring that our most important initiatives are tracked, analyzed, and communicated with precision—making a tangible impact on firm outcomes, often from behind the scenes.
• Translating business needs into clear, structured requirements and workflows.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a Business Analyst or similar role, ideally within financial services or other complex, cross-functional environments.
• Strong skills in Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides; experience with BI / visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar) preferred.
• Clear, concise communicator with strong follow-through and a collaborative, low-ego mindset.
• Interest in learning and using AI and automation to improve how work gets done.
• Excellent attention to detail and high degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to distil large amounts of information into specific takeaways.
