POSITION SUMMARY: The E-Commerce Marketplace / Drop Ship Specialist is responsible for leading the SVP Worldwide eCommerce assortment planning and growth strategies to maximize shopper engagement and revenue. This person functions as the product owner of marketplace growth, drop ship management and Creativate, our subscription-based service. This person works to translate leadership objectives for future growth of the ecommerce business.

This role collaborates with SVP Worldwide eCommerce team. This person will put in place a pricing and promotional strategy that delivers value to the consumer while hitting established financial goals. This person will constantly optimize the merchandising offer and shopping experience for long-term sustainable growth by being data-focused, testing innovative new approaches and carefully selecting assortments to beat annual sales plans.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketplace & Drop ship content strategy and management

  • Determine product assortment, pricing, and promotions for marketplace, drop ship and subscription-based assortments on the website. Owning new SKU creation, attribution and merchandising on site.
  • Strategize new market placement on own assortment and drop ship assortment. Use analytics to understand where to grow, maintain, reduce based on profitability.
  • Manage, modify and optimize listings to drive sales and margin growth and profitability
  • Commitment to follow processes while managing inventory positions, monitoring fulfillment of orders and managing returns and cancellations.

Digital merchandising and marketing

  • Manage product set-up including images and copy. Ensuring product setup into eCommerce platform is complete and accurate, collecting all assets and data for each SKU and optimizing for SEO.
  • Oversee product categories closely and adjust product sequencing, featured items, product badging, filters, navigation, category pages, search results, ratings and reviews, etc. to drive sales volume and conversion.

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team on promotions, merchandising, and development opportunities for best-in-class customer experience.
  • Strategize with digital content and marketing team on ways to drive traffic and revenue

Analytics & Data-Driven

  • Assist with tracking KPIs and other reporting to spot new trends and growth opportunities to beat annual sales plan. Track and measure profitability to maintain healthy margins and grow or exit programs where necessary
  • Gain deep insights into the customer's product needs and motivations to buy, integrate new merchandising ideas throughout the entire site to drive profitable revenue growth and trial into growth categories (ie. accessories add on, bundles)

Vendor Management

  • Create and manage vendor portfolio including onboarding vendors, order management, inventory availability, timely shipments, cancellations and proactively follow-up with partners to meet deadlines. Negotiate the best pricing and margin that meets our goals and fits into our promotion strategies
  • Identify, seek out and cultivate strong vendor relationships that match our brand vision and mission to strengthen our sewing brands

Compliance

  • Ensure recruitment processes adhere to all federal, state, and country/local employment laws and regulations

REQUIREMENTS AND PERFERRED EXPEREINCE

  • 2+ years' work experience in eCommerce, Merchandising, Marketing within a cross functional role and a bachelor's degree in similar field.
  • 2+ years' experience managing/implementing various eCommerce merchandising initiatives such as assortment management, setting pricing, attribution and merchandising
  • Website Content Management System experience for SKU and pricing set-ups and updates
  • Shopify experience is preferred but not required
  • Prior knowledge of Drop Ship (Rithum Mirakl, Channel Advisor) is good to have but not required
  • Experience in Sewing/Crafts are helpful but not required
  • Computer proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

TRAVEL

  • If not local to Nashville, TN, the successful candidate will need to be in driving distance and open to commute into HQ/Nashville, TN monthly.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

WORK ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION/FLEX ARRANGEMENT

  • SVP Worldwide offers a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. As part of our Flexible Workplace Policy, this position will be hybrid based in our company HQ in Nashville, TN or willing to commute to HQ on a monthly basis.
  • The worker is subject to being in front of a computer and collaborating with cross functional partners throughout the day.
