Glasgow Prestwick Airport is a fast-paced, 24/7 aviation services provider delivering passenger travel, air cargo, training flights, and world-class MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) services. This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rotational shift basis, reporting directly to the E-Commerce Manager.
As the E-Commerce Warehouse Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse during your assigned shift. You will lead a team of warehouse staff to ensure that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately, efficiently, and safely, while maintaining high standards of productivity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the operation within Transit House, ensuring that a high level of customer service is provided to all customers.
- Professionally manage/supervise all staff within your control ensuring compliance with all company and departmental procedures.
- Support and guide team leaders with their daily tasks.
- Manage weekly rosters for staff including annual leave, time in lieu and banked hours if operating.
- Be the point of contact for any final mile providers, ensuring they are updated at all times on progress and any required changes during the shift.
- Recognise areas of improvement within the section and highlight training needs with staff, reporting this to the Manager.
Ideal candidates will have relevant warehouse experience and have knowledge of the Aviation industry. Previous experience in the management of a logistics warehouse, in fast-paced environment and an understanding of key stakeholders within the process for imports and exports is desired.
