Who we are
We are Canada’s leading and most influential public policy think tank.
Headquartered in Vancouver, with offices across the country, we produce independent, peer‑reviewed research on the government policies that shape Canadians’ lives – from taxation, health care, and education, to energy, the environment, aboriginal issues, and economic freedom. We are non‑partisan – we don’t care what political party is in power, we care about the policies.
Our mission is simple: to improve the quality of life for Canadians, their families, and future generations by studying, measuring, and broadly communicating the effects of government policies, entrepreneurship, and choice on their well‑being.
Our research is peer‑reviewed and overseen by an Editorial Advisory Board of leading international scholars. The Fraser Institute adheres to rigorous standards of transparency. We make our methodology clear, our data sources public, and our findings replicable – so that our work can be examined, debated, and trusted.
If you care about evidence, ideas, and the future of Canada, you’ll fit right in.
