Role Description
Bytomiq is seeking a Lead SEO Strategy Manager (Contract / Fractional) to support strategy development and delivery across a growing portfolio of clients.
This role will serve as a strategic driver within the organization — responsible for identifying new organic growth opportunities, developing structured SEO initiatives, and translating complex search strategy into clear execution plans.
The Lead SEO Strategy Manager will collaborate closely with the founder to shape strategic direction, guide delivery across projects, and help evolve internal frameworks and processes as the consultancy continues to scale.
This position requires someone comfortable operating at both the strategic and operational level — identifying opportunities, structuring initiatives, guiding execution, and communicating recommendations clearly to both internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new SEO initiatives across technical, content, and site architecture layers
- Conduct in-depth SEO audits and opportunity analysis for complex websites
- Translate strategic opportunities into clear roadmaps and structured project initiatives
- Help guide project execution by coordinating tasks and priorities across the delivery team
- Present and explain SEO initiatives, performance trends, and strategic recommendations in client meetings
- Collaborate with the founder to refine strategic direction across client engagements
- Develop and improve internal frameworks, processes, and methodologies that support scalable delivery
- Monitor search performance and refine strategy based on performance insights
Qualifications
- 6+ years experience in SEO strategy, preferably within an agency or consulting environment
- Strong technical SEO knowledge including crawlability, indexing, internal linking, and site architecture
- Experience analyzing and optimizing large or complex websites (ecommerce or content platforms preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to translate SEO opportunity into structured strategic initiatives
- Comfortable communicating strategy and recommendations in client-facing environments
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to think critically about systems, processes, and scalable SEO frameworks
- Experience with tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, and similar platforms
Nice to have
- Ecommerce SEO experience
- Experience building SEO processes or operational frameworks
- Familiarity with evolving search environments including AI-driven search interfaces
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
