You will help evolve our architecture with your background in distributed cloud computing while innovating on video technology like encoding. Define requirements, negotiate priorities, and deliver the right solutions and mechanisms.Resolve significantly complex problems and provide long-term solutions that are as simple as possible.Improve architectural quality, reduce bottlenecks, and operate with autonomy, showing high judgment in decisions that have technical and business implications.Identify and tackle intrinsically hard problems and represent complex decisions, trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to leaders.Adept at building consensus, aligning teams toward coherent technology strategies.Champion and prioritize new product requirements and features for development.Identify short- and long-term product opportunities, provide actionable recommendations, and influence stakeholders to implement durable solutions.Plan, execute, and monitor program and manage risks.Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges for our customers and validate new integration launches.A day in the life
You will own long-running programs to make Prime Video even more reliable for customers. In that capacity, you will directly own goals with visibility throughout Prime Video. You will own the execution of projects to meet those goals, including communication to senior leadership and stakeholders. You will work with teams across Prime Video, throughout Amazon, and AWS to influence organizational roadmaps and strategy. You will drive a portfolio of programs evolving how we playback live events, linear, and VOD content and work on ambiguous challenges.Basic Qualifications5+ years of technical product or program management experience.3+ years of software development experience.5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design.Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market.
