- *Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content for our social media platforms.
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities.
- Support the management of our website, including content updates and SEO optimization.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas.
- *Technical Skills**:
- Social Media Management: Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and experience with social media management tools like Hootsuite or Buffer.
- Content Management Systems (CMS): Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress or Joomla for website content creation and management.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Understanding of SEO principles and practices to optimize website content for search engines.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Ability to use tools like Google Analytics to track website performance, analyze data, and create reports.
- Graphic Design: Basic graphic design skills using tools like Adobe Photoshop or Canva for creating marketing materials such as social media graphics, banners, and flyers.
- Video Editing: Basic video editing skills using software like Adobe Premiere Pro or iMovie for creating promotional videos or social media content.
- Paid Advertising: Understanding of paid advertising platforms like Google Ads or Facebook Ads Manager.
- Copywriting: Strong writing skills for creating engaging and SEO-friendly content.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentation creation.
- Digital Marketing Tools: Familiarity with various digital marketing tools and software, which could include CRM systems, marketing automation tools, or keyword research tools.
- HTML/CSS: Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for website editing and troubleshooting.
- *Qualifications**:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant program at Sheridan College.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and web analytics.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Creative thinker with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
