The Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled, client-facing (virtual) Bookkeeper who is seeking stable, long-term remote work, with a consistent weekly workload of 25 hours minimum, across 4 days per week, and the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.

What You Will Be Doing
● Record and categorize daily financial transactions (income, expenses, loans, liabilities, payroll) ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations
● Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loan statements and clearing accounts
● Supporting bookkeeping environments for non-profit, e-commerce or for-profit companies.
● Preparing and maintaining payroll and government remittances/filings
● Creating new client files and issuing billing
● Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
● Managing your time to meet monthly and quarterly deadlines
● Support month-end and year-end close processes
● Communicating directly with clients in a professional, clear, and supportive manner to ensure their books are up-to-date and accurate.

What You Bring
● Minimum 5 years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping
● E-commerce or Non-profit bookkeeping experience minimum 1 year of experience
● Strong understanding of financial concepts, balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and financial reporting
● Experience with QuickBooks Online
● Familiarity with tools such as Dext, Financial Cents, Slack, Office 365, Dropbox,TurboTax, and Zoom
● Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
● Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation is an asset
