Role Overview

The Marketing & E-Commerce Specialist supports the execution of marketing initiatives with a strong focus on managing and improving the company’s e-commerce experience. This role ensures that online stores, product content, and digital campaigns are accurate, engaging, and optimized to drive customer engagement and sales.

This position plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing Shopify e-commerce platforms by coordinating product content, supporting digital marketing campaigns, and optimizing the online customer journey.

Sitting at the intersection of marketing, e-commerce operations, and digital systems, this role ensures that product data, website experiences, and marketing campaigns work together effectively.

Key Responsibilities

E-Commerce Operations

  • Support the day-to-day execution and maintenance of Healthcare Solutions’ e-commerce platforms.
  • Manage and maintain product listings, ensuring accurate and engaging product descriptions, specifications, images, and tagging.
  • Ensure consistency of product content and merchandising across online and retail channels.
  • Monitor product availability and ensure online product information reflects current offerings.
  • Optimize product categories, navigation, and merchandising to improve usability and discoverability.
  • Monitor product content, integrations, and merchandising across systems to ensure information remains accurate between e-commerce platforms, ERP system, and marketing tools.
  • Act as a bridge between marketing initiatives and the technical systems that power our e-commerce operations.

Digital Marketing & Campaign Execution

  • Support marketing campaign execution across digital channels including the website, email marketing, and promotions.
  • Coordinate online merchandising updates for product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Assist with landing page updates, promotional banners, and digital marketing assets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support brand messaging and campaign alignment across channels.
  • Support SEO best practices in product listings and website content.

Customer Experience & Website Optimization

  • Continuously improve the online customer journey to enhance usability, accessibility, and conversion.
  • Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and support inquiries to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Optimize key website experiences such as product pages, navigation, and checkout processes.
  • Conduct A/B testing and usability improvements to increase engagement and conversion rates.
  • Ensure website responsiveness and functionality across all devices
  • Maintain a website optimization and update calendar.

Analytics & Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor website traffic, conversion rates, and e-commerce performance metrics.
  • Analyze user behavior and website performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support reporting on e-commerce performance and campaign results.
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to recommend improvements based on insights and trends.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, retail, and supply chain teams to support product launches and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate with customer service teams to ensure consistent messaging and support for online customers.
  • Manage communication with external web developers or contractors when technical support is required.
  • Stay informed on Shopify updates, e-commerce best practices, and emerging digital marketing trends.

In this role, you may work on projects such as

  • Investigating why a product promotion banner or pop-up is not displaying correctly and coordinating updates with developers or marketing tools to resolve it.
  • Reviewing product data across systems to identify and resolve inconsistencies between e-commerce listings, inventory systems, and product documentation.
  • Improving product category navigation or filtering to help customers find products more easily.
  • Analyzing website analytics to identify pages with low engagement and recommending improvements to layout, content, or merchandising.
  • Supporting a product launch by coordinating product content, merchandising, promotional banners, and landing pages.
  • Testing improvements to product pages or checkout flow to improve conversion and usability.
  • Exploring new Shopify apps, marketing tools, or automation opportunities that could improve marketing workflows or online experiences.

Technical & Problem-Solving Profile

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, digitally curious, and comfortable working within modern marketing, e-commerce, and data-driven systems. They enjoy improving online experiences, analyzing performance data, and collaborating across teams to drive results and ensure digital platforms operate smoothly.

This role requires someone who can

  • Manage large volumes of product content with accuracy and organization
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer journeys and online engagement
  • Interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable improvements
  • Work confidently with digital marketing tools and content management systems
  • Balance marketing creativity with operational accuracy
  • Notice when something doesn’t look or behave as expected and take initiative to investigate and understand why
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset when troubleshooting issues, validating content, or identifying inconsistencies across platforms
  • Take initiative to explore unfamiliar tools or problems, using documentation, testing, and independent learning to move issues forward before escalating when needed
  • Strong curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn new platforms are more important than experience with specific tools.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Experience working with e-commerce platforms (Shopify or similar)
  • Experience supporting digital marketing or e-commerce operations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience working with website content, product listings, or online merchandising
  • Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and digital marketing tools
  • Clear written communication and documentation skills

Assets

  • Familiarity with SEO, A/B testing, and website optimization practices
  • Experience working with marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS or willingness to learn
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in marketing or retail environments
  • Experience working in data-driven systems such as ERP, inventory, e-commerce, or database environments
  • Interest in leveraging automation or AI tools to improve marketing workflows
