Wild Prairie Soap Company is an Edmonton-based manufacturer of finely made natural bath and personal care products. Our products are made locally and enjoyed by customers across Canada and internationally.

We are currently seeking a thoughtful and reliable individual to lead our retail store on Saturdays. As one of our front-of-house team members, you play an essential role in shaping each customer’s experience with our brand.

This is an independent position, ideal for someone who takes pride in creating a calm, welcoming retail environment and who is comfortable taking ownership of their work.

Your professional presence, product knowledge, and attention to detail ensure that Wild Prairie Soap Company is represented with excellence at all times.

Responsibilities include

  • Welcoming customers and providing knowledgeable guidance on our products
  • Assisting customers with purchasing decisions and delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Promoting our products through thoughtful, genuine engagement
  • Supporting customers with our Refill Gallery and low-waste refill program
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and beautifully presented retail environment
  • Opening and closing the store independently
  • Assisting with product preparation, including labeling and assembly, with careful attention to quality
  • Fulfilling ecommerce and wholesale orders accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing orders for shipment or pickup
  • Supporting quality control standards across all aspects of retail and order fulfillment

Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) is required.

You will be fully trained and supported by our team before working independently.

You are able to manage your time effectively and balance customer service, retail upkeep, and order fulfillment responsibilities.

An interest in natural products and thoughtful design is an asset.

Hours

Saturdays: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm with some additional hours available during busy periods

Paid training shifts will take place during weekdays during the onboarding period.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of retail or customer service experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable using computers and point-of-sale systems
  • Saturday availability is required
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms
  • Familiarity with shipping platforms such as Canada Post, UPS, or similar
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar invoicing systems
  • Experience fulfilling ecommerce orders
  • Previous experience in a premium retail environment
