Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre Inc. has an opportunity available for a Digital and Content Marketing Intern to join our team!
This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution (college or university) and is a required component of their academic program. Students must be eligible to complete this internship through their school in order to be considered.
Working in the department of Marketing & Communications, the Student Intern will be working on various initiatives such as developing content strategies, asset creations, and participating in full campaign lifecycle. During this placement the intern will develop their skills in content planning, design thinking, and digital storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and execution of digital marketing campaigns that promote events, programs, and brand initiatives.
- Draft and design social media content, newsletters, and blog posts.
- Help produce visual and written content using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Monitor social media and campaign performance and help compile analytic reports.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions for campaign concepts and brand storytelling.
- Support the coordination of social and promotional assets with various internal teams.
- Perform market research and help identify content opportunities and trends.
Opportunities for Learning and Development
- Learn how to plan, execute, and evaluate digital marketing campaigns that supports TPASC’s events, programs, and brand initiatives
- Gain insight into various campaign strategies, audience targeting, and performance tracking
- Develop skills in drafting engaging content in different distribution channels and adapting the appropriate tone and messaging for different platforms and audiences
- Gain hands-on experience using design tools to create branded visual content
- Understand the principles of storytelling and brand consistency
- Monitor campaign metrics and learn how to interpret collected data
- Strengthen research skills in identifying content opportunities, trends, and audience interests
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in full-time studies in a post-secondary program (marketing, communications, media, or a related field)
- Legally authorize to participate in a work placement in Canada
- Strong oral and written communication, storytelling, and visual content creation skills
- Knowledge of social media trends and an understanding of content performance metrics
- Creative thinker with an interest in brand strategy and audience engagement
- Comfortable in using desktop publishing tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or Canva
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Proactive, dependable, and adaptable, with a strong desire to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Term & Honorarium
Internship may be 2 or 4 months in duration, depending on your academic program requirements. Students will receive an honorarium of up to $1,500 upon successful completion of the internship
Placement Dates & Location
This internship will take place at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre, located at 875 Morningside Avenue, Scarborough, ON M1C 0C7
Internship term will be May 2026 to August 2026 depending on your academic program requirements
