Position Overview

The E-Commerce Specialist is responsible for supporting and optimizing online sales channels to drive revenue growth, enhance customer experience, and ensure accurate and compelling product presentation. This role manages day-to-day e-commerce operations, product content, promotions, and performance reporting while collaborating closely with marketing, merchandising, IT, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain product listings across e-commerce platforms, ensuring accuracy in pricing, descriptions, images, and specifications
  • Optimize product content for search, conversion, and usability (SEO best practices, categorization, attributes, and merchandising rules)
  • Support execution of digital promotions, campaigns, and seasonal updates
  • Monitor site performance, sales trends, and customer behavior; develop reports and actionable insights
  • Collaborate with marketing to align email, paid media, and on-site merchandising initiatives
  • Partner with operations and customer service to resolve inventory visibility, order issues, and customer feedback
  • Assist with testing, QA, and implementation of site enhancements, new features, and platform updates
  • Maintain data accuracy and consistency across e-commerce, ERP, and product information systems

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, or online retail operations
  • Hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large product catalogs
  • Working knowledge of SEO, web analytics tools, and performance reporting
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets with comfort analyzing data and trends
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a B2B e-commerce environment
  • Familiarity with ERP, inventory, or product information management (PIM) systems
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
  • Experience supporting site migrations or platform upgrades
