Description

Great new role for an experienced Ecommerce Specialist for our client, a small & global distributor of Natural Healthcare products in Richmond Hill, ON. In this role you will have the overall responsibility for ecommerce SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) strategy with a strong focus on backlink building, technical SEO and increasing Domain Authority. This is a full time and permanent position and can be Work From Home. Must be located in the Greater Toronto Area. Salary: 60K - 65K with full benefits after 3 months. 3 weeks of vacation, free parking.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for Pascoe Canada’s ecommerce SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) strategy with a strong focus on backlink building, technical SEO and increasing Domain Authority
  • Develop, propose and implement a comprehensive SEO and AEO strategy aligned with our B2B and B2C target markets
  • Manage and optimise SEO performance of our Magento-based online store
  • Lead the SEO and AEO content strategy and provide strategic direction to internal and external content writers
  • Create detailed SEO/AEO content briefs including keyword strategy, search intent, structured data opportunities, featured snippet optimisation and internal linking guidelines
  • Optimise content for search engines and answer engines (e.g. featured snippets, People Also Ask, AI-generated search results)
  • Review, edit and optimise written content to ensure SEO and AEO best practices are implemented
  • Conduct competitor analysis, backlink gap assessments and keyword gap analysis
  • Build and manage high-quality backlink acquisition campaigns (guest posts, partnerships, digital PR, resource links)
  • Establish and nurture relationships with industry partners, associations, publishers and relevant online communities
  • On-page SEO optimisation including meta data, internal linking, content structure, product pages and category pages within Magento
  • Technical SEO monitoring including crawl errors, site speed, indexing issues, schema markup, structured data implementation and Core Web Vitals
  • Monitor backlink profile health, anchor text distribution and toxic links (including disavow management if required)
  • Track, analyse and report on keyword rankings, organic traffic, answer visibility, conversion rates, referring domains and Domain Authority growth
  • Continuously optimise SEO and AEO performance based on data insights and algorithm updates
  • Support overall ecommerce growth initiatives to increase traffic, engagement and online sales

Qualifications

  • Marketing / business / communications related degree
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in SEO, including backlink building and technical SEO
  • Experience implementing AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) strategies
  • Proven track record of increasing Domain Authority, rankings, featured snippet visibility and organic traffic
  • Experience leading SEO content strategy and working closely with content writers
  • Experience working with Magento ecommerce platforms
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SEO tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEM rush, Moz, Google Search Console, Google Analytics)
  • Strong understanding of Google algorithm updates, AI-driven search trends and white-hat SEO best practices
  • Experience in outreach campaigns and digital PR
  • Strong knowledge of on-page and technical SEO principles including structured data and schema markup
  • Experience in B2B and/or health care / supplement industry desired
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret SEO data and translate into action
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proficient at standard Microsoft Office programs
  • Structured work attitude, planning and implementing according to plans
  • Familiar working in a small and dynamic team, team player
  • Performance orientated mind set
