A Typical Day
The Social Media & Reputation Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping and safeguarding the company's brand presence through advanced analytics, workflow optimization, and strategic content support.
This position is responsible for day-to-day monitoring and timely engagement across all social media and third-party platforms, as well as collaborating with internal teams to develop compelling content and strategic social media and reputation communication plans.
A key focus is to analyze social media sentiment and performance to and maintain a positive online reputation, while ensuring all external messaging is accurate and consistent across the organization.
The Analyst, Social Media & Reputation Will
- Enhance data visibility and usability across the team by developing and/or maintaining data tracking and budgeting tools, and interpreting channel metrics for management.
- Assist in the managing, generating, and presenting of social media performance and sentiment reports during monthly marketing meetings. This includes conducting KPI tracking and compiling comprehensive competitor research for executive leadership.
- Lead initiatives to improve team efficiency through project management template development and process documentation.
- Act as the direct liaison between Marketing and internal teams, managing the intake and project timeline for all brand and communication requests.
- Assist in the development and execution of social media content ideas, write engaging copy, and collaborate with creative teams to produce multimedia content aligned with brand guidelines and business objectives.
- Ensure all external messaging is accurate, consistent, and aligned with company goals by collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, legal, and other internal partners. This includes escalating any crisis customer complaints to relevant teams.
- Support the day-to-day monitoring, replying, and escalation of all inquiries, reviews, and comments across all social media and third-party platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Reddit) in a timely manner.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a comparable discipline.
- 1-3 years of related experience in social media management, community engagement, and/or external communications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, curating, and scheduling content in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Ability to interpret and present channel metrics and analytical data to management.
- Professional attributes include a strategic mindset, adaptability, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to monitor and respond to social media posts outside of Pennymac's regular working hours.
- Demonstrated behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and industry-standard social media, project management, and other analytics tools.
- Knowledge of the financial services and/or mortgage industry and applicable regulatory guidelines is a plus.

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
- Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
- Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
- Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
