Paid Media Specialist

Location: Remote or Hybrid, US
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 / year
The Paid Media Specialist is an entry-level media professional responsible for executing and optimizing paid media campaigns across digital channels. This role supports cross-functional teams with day-to-day campaign management while focusing on growing strategic planning and storytelling capabilities across channels.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Optimization
- Manage search and paid social campaigns across assigned clients.
- Conduct KPI discovery, keyword research, and competitor analysis for SEM campaigns.
- Implement audience segmentation and manage bidding strategies.
- Execute, optimize, and report on campaigns to achieve client objectives (fundraising, engagement, advocacy, lead generation).
- Support day-to-day media buying across assigned accounts.
- Monitor campaign pacing to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Maintain accuracy in setup, tracking, and reporting.
- Partner with creative and technical teams to implement campaign requirements.
- Apply digital advertising trends and best practices to improve performance.
- Operate effectively within a remote, collaborative team environment.
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in at least one of the following:
- Google Ads (Search, Display, and Video certifications current)
- Microsoft Ads
- Paid Social
- Programmatic
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred.
- Experience analyzing campaign data and performance metrics.
- Working knowledge of digital advertising platforms, SEM principles, audience targeting, and performance KPIs.
- Strong analytical capability with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage budgets, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a remote team environment.
