About the Role

Join Sam’s Club Marketing as a Manager, Digital Marketing (Email) and own execution of data-driven and membership driven email campaigns. This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing the execution of email campaigns, ensuring they align with overall marketing objectives – including driving membership loyalty, strengthening renewal conversion, and enhancing brand awareness. You’ll translate strategy and creative into flawlessly executed, personalized campaigns—ensuring every send is tested, QA’d, approved, and delivered with confidence.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage multiple, complex, and concurrent projects, coordinating across stakeholders to ensure that all deliverables and timelines are being met.
  • Lead end-to-end execution of email campaigns, including creative development, targeting, set-up, testing, launch, reporting, and ongoing optimization.
  • Develop clear, strategic creative briefs that articulate campaign goals, brand story, and content needs by leveraging both static and dynamic assets.
  • Support and implement A/B and multivariate tests to optimize email content, targeting, and sending strategies.
  • Own channel and campaign reporting, ensuring accurate data capture, performance tracking, and insight delivery.
  • Analyze campaign results and create hindsight reports, presenting learnings and data-driven recommendations to inform future planning and test roadmaps.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly updates highlighting key initiatives, program health, and performance trends for internal teams.
  • Collaborate on personalization and segmentation strategies, helping refine targeting to improve engagement and impact.
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, data science, creative, and external vendors to streamline processes and ensure seamless execution.
  • Bring external knowledge and stay current on industry trends, engaging in conferences and with vendors to develop innovative growth & retention strategies.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience executing email marketing campaigns, including personalization, segmentation, and channel activation.
  • Deep knowledge of email best practices, including channel creative, templating, segmentation strategies, and dynamic content.
  • Strong technical and data fluency, with the ability to merge data and segmentation logic with creative assets to deliver personalized, high-impact messaging.
  • Proficiency with analytics and reporting tools, with the ability to analyze campaign performance and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven success developing and managing highly targeted, customer-centric campaigns, managing the full lifecycle from planning through execution and optimization.
  • A strategic mindset paired with strong tactical execution, able to balance long-term vision with day‑to‑day delivery needs.
  • Passion for testing, learning, and data-driven decision-making, continuously advancing channel capabilities such as targeting and personalization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, professionalism, and calm under pressure.
  • Ability to thrive in a large, matrixed organization, managing multiple stakeholders, shifting priorities, and rapid decision cycles.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with strong time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, consistently seeking opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Experience performing end-to-end QA to ensure flawless campaign execution and delivery.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing principles and analytics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
