Consultant, Digital Fundraising and Online Experience

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven leader to serve as our Associate Director of Digital Fundraising & Online Experience. This role will lead and optimize the donor and prospective donor online journey across email, web, social media, and paid channels to drive revenue growth and deepen engagement.
The ideal candidate brings strong writing skills, expertise in email segmentation, experience managing website updates and donation optimization, and a passion for using analytics to inform strategy in a nonprofit environment.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Fundraising Strategy & Leadership
- Develop, implement, and track a comprehensive multi-year online fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals and revenue projections.
- Lead execution of online tentpole campaigns, ensuring strong cross-channel integration and measurable results.
- Provide strategic leadership to the digital fundraising team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Email Marketing & Segmentation
- Lead email campaign strategy and execution, including targeting, segmentation, scheduling, delivery, and reporting.
- Oversee performance optimization through A/B testing, personalization, and data analysis.
- Ensure compelling, donor-centered writing across campaigns.
Website & Donor Experience
- Serve as primary liaison for website management and oversee strategy, design, development, and day-to-day updates, including donation forms and subdomains.
- Optimize online donor user experience to improve acquisition, retention, and conversion.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Establish and monitor OKRs, KPIs, and fundraising performance metrics.
- Provide regular reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership.
- Utilize analytics to identify trends, mitigate risk, and improve campaign performance.
Paid Media & Vendor Management
- Lead SEM, PPC, display, and grant-funded advertising initiatives.
- Serve as day-to-day contact for external digital agency partners and vendors.
- Oversee budget management for online activities, ensuring strong ROI and cost-effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years of experience in digital or online fundraising
- Demonstrated expertise in email marketing and advanced segmentation
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a nonprofit organization
- Experience leading engaging network or peer-to-peer fundraising programs
