Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Business Transformation Consultant, you will play a vital role in Neudesic's Business Transformation & Strategy (BxS) service line, reporting directly to the Director of Business Transformation. You will support the effective delivery of transformative digital engagements for clients, providing strategic insights and creating actionable roadmaps that ensure measurable business outcomes.

Your expertise will make you a trusted advisor to both business and technology stakeholders, facilitating the alignment of business strategy with technology execution through business architecture and organizational change management principles. Additionally, you will engage in pre-sales activities and aid in training and mentoring junior consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Architecture & Strategic Advisory
  • Conduct thorough assessments of business capabilities to uncover gaps and opportunities for digital innovation.
  • Create and implement business architecture models that align strategic objectives with operational and technological plans.
  • Assist in the development of product visions, solution roadmaps, and opportunity backlogs for a diverse range of clients.
  • Translate business goals and industry trends into detailed transformation strategies in collaboration with BxS leadership.
  • Develop and maintain crucial strategic artifacts, including:
  • Business capability maps
  • Business process diagrams
  • Functional analysis frameworks
  • Solution ideation documents
  • Organizational Change Management (OCM)
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagements, conduct readiness assessments, and analyze the impact of changes during transformation projects.
  • Work closely with clients to identify change champions, assess training needs, and formulate communication strategies.
  • Ensure all transformation recommendations focus on adoption, integrating structural adjustments and behavioral change planning.
  • Monitor and evaluate change adoption metrics and the realization of business value post-implementation.
  • Delivery Execution
  • Contribute to the delivery of complex transformation projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and expectations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, including App Innovation and Data & AI, to ensure effective translation of business needs into technology solutions.
  • Lead workshops and ideation sessions to gather requirements, validate solutions, and elaborate on the future-state vision.
  • Assist in defining manageable backlogs for transformation initiatives in partnership with delivery leads and product owners.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies as necessary to provide business context and monitor progress towards objectives.
  • Pre-Sales & Sales Support
  • Play an integral role in the creation of client proposals, pitch decks, and strategic recommendations that detail business impact.
  • Contribute to industry-specific points of view (POVs) and transformation playbooks in collaboration with national service and sales teams.
  • Engage in client discovery and strategy workshops, identifying pain points and transformation opportunities.
  • Articulate the business case and value proposition of BxS-led engagements effectively to stakeholders.
  • Thought Leadership & Internal Development
  • Assist in the creation of internal BxS methodologies, toolkits, and reusable frameworks.
  • Mentor junior consultants to foster the growth of the BxS practice.
  • Stay updated on technology and industry trends to ensure client recommendations remain forward-thinking.
  • Participate in internal initiatives focused on business architecture enablement, product strategy, or OCM maturity.

Neudesic has been acquired by IBM as of February 9, 2022, and is currently integrating into the IBM organization, which will manage your recruitment process.

This role offers the flexibility to be performed from anywhere in the US.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, business strategy, business architecture, or digital transformation.
  • Demonstrated capability in translating business strategy into actionable roadmaps and capability models.
  • Strong grasp of organizational change concepts, encompassing stakeholder engagement, communications, and training.
  • Experience conducting discovery workshops, performing business analysis, and creating backlogs.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery environments and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Possess strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills; comfortable interfacing with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience with business architecture tools such as BPMN, capability mapping tools, or enterprise modeling platforms is a plus.
  • Preferred experience across multiple industries or in a specific vertical (e.g., healthcare, retail, energy).
