The Account Supervisor / Account Director (title commensurate with experience) serves as a key liaison between the agency, clients, vendors, and event properties. This role requires consistent, effective two-way communication with internal account and management teams. Depending on experience, this individual will oversee one or multiple accounts and play a critical role in ensuring seamless program execution, team leadership, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and properties
- Plan and manage event schedules and timelines
- Support and oversee event logistics and execution
- Monitor performance and contribute to event reporting and analysis
- Lead, mentor, and develop account team members
- Recruit, manage, and oversee event staff
- Collaborate with strategy and creative teams to deliver impactful programs
- Source and procure event materials; manage promotional inventory
- Develop program manuals and manage program budgets (level-dependent)
- Process staff invoices and expense reports; compile program recaps
- Research event opportunities, venues, and supplier partners
- Deliver exceptional client service at all times
- Conduct market research to support media and marketing plans
- Assist in the development and execution of integrated promotional programs aligned with client goals
- Provide regular updates on program metrics, staffing, performance, challenges, and opportunities
- Travel up to 20%, including occasional weekends
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, sports, or a related field
- 5–10 years of event marketing experience
- Experience in both field and office environments
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong client service and program management experience
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, events, and teams simultaneously
- Solid understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Flexibility to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed
