Step into a Day on the Press Floor

Location: Madison, WI 53704

When you clock in, you become the heartbeat of our print production. You ready the digital press, dial in the profile, and run test sheets until color, registration, and finish are dialed. As jobs roll through, you keep a watchful eye on output, make smart adjustments on the fly, and keep our schedules moving smoothly.

Note: The posted pay does not include any shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shift.

What your day looks like

• Prepare, calibrate, and operate digital printing presses to deliver a range of print products.
• Audit quality throughout every run—adjust color, density, and alignment to meet specs.
• Perform routine cleanings, consumable changes, and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with design/prepress and production teams to confirm requirements and prioritize jobs.
• Document run details, materials consumption, and any issues for accurate job records.
• Follow safety protocols and company quality standards at all times.

What you bring

• 3–6+ months of experience as a Machine Operator preferred.
• Hands-on exposure to digital press operation or similar equipment is a plus (not required).
• Meticulous attention to detail with a pride in producing crisp, consistent print.
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and technical curiosity.
• Team-first mindset and steady pace in a fast-moving environment.
• Clear communication and a positive, can-do attitude.
