Ecommerce SEO Manager

TenStrat Performance Marketing

At TenStrat, we help growth-minded businesses overcome stagnation and unlock scalable performance through innovative marketing strategies. Our team is made up of senior-level professionals, each bringing deep expertise and a strategic, execution-focused approach to digital growth.

We're seeking an Ecommerce SEO Manager to lead and execute SEO strategy across a portfolio of enterprise and high-growth brands. This role is ideal for a mid-to-senior-level SEO professional who thrives in both strategy and hands-on execution, and who is excited about the evolving role of AI, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) in search.

This is a fully remote role and may be structured as a contract role with the potential for a full-time position, depending on experience and fit.

Role Overview

As an Ecommerce SEO Manager at TenStrat, you will play a hands-on role executing and managing SEO strategies across multiple ecommerce brands with 1,000+ SKU catalogs and product-driven websites. This role requires a strong understanding of how SEO drives product discovery, category performance, and revenue, particularly within Shopify and modern ecommerce ecosystems. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, client teams, and technical partners to deliver high-impact improvements across technical SEO, product/content optimization, and data-driven performance initiatives.

A key component of this role includes supporting SEO audits and translating findings into clear execution roadmaps, as well as partnering on emerging AEO / GEO initiatives as search continues to evolve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage SEO strategies across multiple brand websites, with a focus on technical foundations, on-site optimization, and discoverability
  • Own SEO execution informed by audits, performance data, and business priorities
  • Identify and resolve technical SEO issues related to crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, structured data, and page performance
  • Partner with content, product, and engineering teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented effectively
  • Own product data feed strategy and on-site product data alignment — including attribute mapping, supplemental feed builds, and ensuring consistency between feed-level and PDP-level optimization across large catalogs
  • Support site migrations, platform changes, and ecommerce releases with SEO risk mitigation and QA
  • Collaborate with Paid Search and Shopping teams to align SEO and feed strategies for maximum visibility
  • Monitor SEO performance with a focus on traffic, conversion, and revenue impact, not just rankings

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with a strong focus on ecommerce websites
  • Proven experience working with Shopify (or similar platforms like BigCommerce, Magento, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of product and category page optimization (PDPs/PLPs)
  • Experience with product feed optimization including attribute mapping, supplemental feed strategy, and feed-to-organic alignment across Google Merchant Center and Shopify — ensuring product titles, descriptions, and attributes are consistently optimized across both the feed and on-site PDPs
  • Deep knowledge of technical SEO including crawlability, indexation, internal linking, and site architecture
  • Deep understanding of ecommerce site taxonomy and URL architecture — including when to build subcategories vs. filtered PLPs vs. standalone landing pages — with hands-on experience governing faceted navigation (indexation, canonicalization, and noindex decisions at scale)
  • Familiarity with breadcrumb schema, internal linking logic, and how site hierarchy signals are interpreted by both crawlers and AI-driven search systems at enterprise scale
  • Ability to translate SEO insights into revenue-driving actions
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with developers, merchandising teams, and client stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills in a client-facing environment
  • This role is best suited for candidates who have worked directly on ecommerce sites where SEO performance is tied to product visibility, feed optimization, and revenue outcomes—not just content publishing.

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating SEO with Paid Search / Shopping campaigns
  • Familiarity with feed management tools (Feedonomics, DataFeedWatch, etc.)
  • Agency or consultancy background
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, seoClarity, or similar platforms
  • Interest in emerging AEO / GEO and AI-driven search trends

Why Join TenStrat?

  • Work with a senior-level team that values strategy, execution, and measurable results
  • Flexible role structure — contract or full-time — depending on fit
  • Exposure to cutting-edge SEO, AEO, and GEO initiatives
  • Fully remote, flexible work environment
  • Opportunity to grow alongside a fast-scaling agency
