The Work
As a Senior Manager in Cyber Transformation, you will report to the Lead of the Global Cyber Intelligence Team with close collaboration in our Security Testing and Exposure Management Team. You will research, analyze, and report on threat activity, support threat data model development for efficient threat modeling into client environments, and will help clients support advanced use cases such as agentic security solution development, threat emulation, and detection engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute advanced penetration testing (pentesting) engagements to identify vulnerabilities and assess security controls.
- Design and conduct threat emulation exercises, simulating real-world adversary tactics to evaluate and improve client defenses.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive threat models for clients, mapping out attack surfaces and prioritizing risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee detection engineering efforts, including the creation and tuning of detection rules, use cases, and analytics to identify malicious activity.
- Discover, identify, and report regularly on significant cyber threats and risks to businesses, governments, and other organizations.
- Research and analyze cyber-threat actors, groups, and events, reporting on tactics, techniques, procedures (TTPs), motivations, and influencing factors.
- Deliver executive briefings on adversary activity, emerging TTPs, and cybersecurity issues and best practices.
- Engage with clients and industry peers to advance cyber intelligence and Accenture Security thought leadership.
- Support Accenture Security engagements, both on-site and remote, using subject-matter expertise to mature cyber intelligence operations.
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Here's What You Need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cyber intelligence, threat modeling, threat emulation, and detection engineering to include the following skills:
- Advanced experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
- Hands-on expertise in threat emulation and adversary simulation.
- Proficiency in threat modeling methodologies (e.g., STRIDE, PASTA, MITRE ATT&CK).
- Strong background in detection engineering, including SIEM, EDR, and custom analytics.
- Ability to produce intelligence products at tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
- Understanding of intelligence lifecycle and analytic methodologies (Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, ATT&CK).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem solving and critical thinking capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Substantive experience in a specific industry area (e.g., Financial Services, Industrial Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, Retail, Travel).
Bonus Points if you have
- Strong analytic and technical skills.
- Familiarity with industry-specific cyber defense practices.
- Flexibility for short-deadline assignments.
- Knowledge of threat intelligence and cyber defense concepts.
- Familiarity with cyber espionage groups and cybercrime campaigns.
- Experience with open-source tools (e.g., Shodan, VirusTotal).
- Experience with detection engineering platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic).
- Experience developing and tuning detection logic for advanced threats.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
