Better Talent Advisors

This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US.

ABOUT US

We are a leading company in the industrial supply sector, serving customers across the US, Canada, and Mexico through e-commerce and direct sales channels. Our extensive catalogue includes over 14 million SKUs, generating more than $60MM in annual revenue. Having relied heavily on an agency partner for our acquisition strategies, we are now ready to establish an in-house E-commerce marketing function. We are looking for a marketing expert to initially take on an individual contributor role, with plans to expand the team. You will have access to budget for vendors and ad spend, making this an exciting opportunity to shape E-commerce marketing within our company.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will report directly to the CEO and will enjoy a high degree of autonomy to strategize and execute effective marketing initiatives. Your primary objective is to double online sales within 12 months of your start date. We're looking for a candidate who is not only analytical but proactive in analyzing traffic data for opportunities and identifying the root causes of variances in performance. This is an ideal role for someone who is both creative and data-driven, with significant expertise in paid and organic search marketing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement the overall E-commerce marketing strategy to achieve a twofold increase in online sales within the next year.
  • Assess the current marketing infrastructure and strategies, driving continuous improvements.
  • Utilize various paid and organic marketing tools to monitor traffic data and respond effectively.
  • Source and oversee vendors, contractors, and partners, focusing on offshoring.
  • Design and manage diverse projects and programs to promote marketing initiatives.
  • Create and execute various acquisition strategies across online and other media channels.
  • Recruit and build an internal marketing team as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate embodies a balance of strategic thinking and execution, driven by data insights. We seek an analytical professional who excels at navigating large data sets to extract actionable insights. If you are a forward-thinker who continuously experiments with new strategies and adapts to trends, this role is tailor-made for you. The focus here is not on messaging and design but rather on leveraging data to inform decisions and strategies.

  • Proven expertise in paid and organic search marketing, especially Google AdWords.
  • In-depth knowledge of GA4 standards and understanding of its impact versus Universal Analytics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Google AdWords limitations, Keywords, Tag Manager, and various bidding strategies.
  • Experience managing a marketing budget of at least $1 Million, ideally $3M or more.
  • Hands-on experience with various tools for both paid and organic search, comfortable using them daily.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a B2B e-commerce role with a large product catalogue (1 million+ SKUs).
  • Experience writing job postings, project plans, and recruiting offshore resources using platforms like Upwork.
  • Track record of sourcing and managing offshore teams for short- and long-term projects.
  • Strong advantage if you've previously transitioned an e-commerce marketing function from agency-driven to in-house.
  • Highly advantageous if you have built an e-commerce marketing department from scratch.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and a 401(k) plan with company matching.
  • Bonuses linked to key performance indicators, such as project delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Fully remote work environment.
  • A role with significant impact, collaborating closely with executive leadership.
