A Day in the Life: Here’s what your week might look like:

  • Lead cross-functional marketing strategy across consumer, enterprise, and government channels
  • Guide brand positioning and messaging for Rotor Riot, Fat Shark, and Unusual Machines’ defense line
  • Oversee and analyze paid ad performance, SEO, email/SMS campaigns, and influencer partnerships
  • Lead content planning and ensure alignment across social, community, YouTube, and media assets
  • Monitor marketing metrics, manage budgets, and define performance goals for media, events, and e-commerce
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Operations on go-to-market strategy
  • Supervise and support direct reports including the Director of Media, Video Editor, Webmaster, and Event Coordinator
  • Partner with IR/PR to shape external communications
  • Represent the brand at major defense expos, FPV industry events, and community experience

Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • 7+ years of leadership experience in marketing, ideally in consumer electronics, e-commerce, or technical products
  • Proven expertise in digital marketing channels: paid ads, SEO, email, influencer, affiliate
  • A deep understanding of performance marketing and how to optimize campaigns based on data
  • Strong experience in brand strategy and community engagement across niche or enthusiast audiences
  • Executive-level presence with a collaborative, data-driven approach to leadership
  • Fluency in cross-functional communication between media, sales, operations, and product
  • Experience managing teams, budgets, content schedules, and creative direction
  • Strong storytelling skills—visually and verbally
  • High comfort with marketing analytics tools and attribution models
  • A passion for drones, FPV, defense innovation, or technical hobbies

Bonus Points (Preferred but not required)

  • Experience working with the U.S. government, DoD, or in a government contractor environment
  • Familiarity with drone technology or prior experience building, flying, or piloting drones
  • Military service or knowledge of military terminology and structure
  • Experience managing e-commerce via platforms like Shopify and Klaviyo
  • Understanding of YouTube content strategy and media performance metrics
  • Exposure to CAD, aerospace, or 3D printing as part of your marketing ecosystem
