Position Overview

Are you passionate about marketing and eager to make an impact? Serco Inc. is looking for a dedicated Entry-Level Marketing Associate to become part of our team! In this role, you will represent the My Service Benefits (MSB) program at various venues including conferences, conventions, and training events. Your contribution will help us effectively communicate valuable information.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively represent the My Service Benefits (MSB) program at a variety of events and gatherings to implement strategic communication tactics.
• Present vital information about MyArmyBenefits and MyAirForceBenefits to diverse audiences that can range from small groups to over 200 participants, both virtually and in person.
• Engage with service members from active duty and reserve components, including senior leaders and VIPs during briefings.
• Provide essential training to Retirement Services Officers on our websites, especially financial planning calculators.
• Become a go-to resource on military benefits and retirement specifics, including calculations for retired pay and the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP).
• Assist service members and their families during events by helping them with benefit calculations.
• Prepare documentation such as travel authorizations, executive summaries, and feedback reports before and after each event.
• Create and update presentation materials tailored for different audiences.
• Conduct outreach to military commands to increase engagement opportunities and awareness of the program among active duty military personnel.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to contribute innovative ideas for social media and gather feedback from event attendees.
• Support the technical team by testing calculators and other site features.
• Participate in regular team meetings and collaborate through platforms such as MS Teams, Asana, and more.
• Stay informed on military benefits-related news and monitor changes in law and regulations.
• Embrace learning new technologies and applications as needed.
• Work collaboratively with multiple teams within MSB on diverse projects.
• Travel regularly to conduct presentations and briefings, with expectations of at least two trips per month.

Qualifications for Success

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to obtain a NACI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising/Public Relations, Journalism, Business, English, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience presenting to military audiences, including large groups.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
