Job Summary

We are seeking a high-energy, creative, and professional individual to join our sales team! As an upper-end boutique, we focus on creating a warm, sophisticated, and upbeat environment for both our staff and our customers.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a flair for design who will report directly to the Store Owner. We are looking for someone who takes pride in the store’s presentation and possesses natural creativity and the social intelligence to build instant rapport with our discerning clientele.

Hours: Permanent Part-Time (Approximately 8 to 15 hours/week). Must be available for Flexible shifts and some weekends.

Location: In-person (Crestwood Mall).

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Customer Excellence: Welcome customers with a genuine, friendly energy; assess their needs and provide expert information on our premium product features.
  • Sales & Special Orders: Provide quotes and create/follow up on special orders with suppliers to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Store Ownership: Proactively assist in keeping the sales floor immaculate, including creating product displays and merchandising.
  • Digital Support: Utilize store "downtime" to independently update our webstore (pricing, new arrivals) and assist with social media marketing (Instagram/Facebook).
  • Operational Precision: Process POS transactions, package online orders, and receive/price new inventory using Lightspeed POS.
  • Professional Alignment: Maintain a positive, collaborative, and upbeat "vibe" behind the counter, ensuring store energy remains high even during slower periods.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preference to 2–4 years of experience in high-end retail sales or a similar customer-facing role. Interior Design experience would definitely be an asset.
  • High Social Intelligence: A natural "people person" with a friendly, energetic personality and a professional tone.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with computerized POS systems (preferably Lightspeed) and browser-based webstore management. As well as social media.
  • Proactive Mindset: A self-motivated individual who identifies what needs to be done (cleaning, organizing, web updates) without needing constant direction.
  • Passion for Design: A genuine enthusiasm for home décor, high-end linens, and gourmet cooking.
  • Communication: Strong, direct interpersonal skills; able to take feedback professionally and align with the owner’s vision for the store.
  • Reliability: Availability for flexible shifts, including some weekends.
