Role Overview
The Grants Marketing & Programs Manager owns all marketing and program operations for the Thompson Grants portfolio, including subscriptions, products, trainings, and events. This role drives pipeline, sales, and customer engagement through integrated campaigns, digital marketing, and end-to-end management of grants-focused webinars, trainings, and events.
Key Responsibilities
Grants product and subscription marketing
- Lead marketing for grants subscriptions and products, including campaign planning, positioning, and execution across email, web, and digital channels.
- Own grants digital marketing strategy, including segmentation, retargeting, paid media support, and performance optimization.
- Develop and market grants free resources (e.g., guides, checklists, reports) to drive new leads and nurture existing audiences.
- Manage Thompson FDA/ENGY newsletters and standard marketing as part of the broader Thompson Information Services-related portfolio.
Grants trainings, webinars, and events
- Own marketing for grants trainings and webinars, including calendar planning, speaker recruitment, audience strategy, email and web promotion, and post-event follow up.
- Lead grants events marketing and program management, including timelines, promotional plans, partner coordination, and attendee communications.
- Coordinate CE certification creation and delivery for applicable grants events and trainings.
- Coordinate grants marketing materials for exhibition opportunities and sponsorship deliverables in conjunction with the events and sales teams.
Platforms, campaigns, and journeys
- Own Salesforce/Marketing Cloud campaigns for grants events, including journeys for acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and renewal.
- Partner with the association marketing team on cross-brand downloadable content and lead-generation initiatives that feature grants content or offers.
- Collaborate with sales to ensure campaigns and journeys support pipeline and revenue targets, including targeted outreach support where needed.
Cross-channel promotion and partnerships
- Contribute to social media marketing for grants products, trainings, and events, in alignment with brand guidelines.
- Execute advertising deliverables related to grants offerings in email, web, and partner channels.
- Support sponsorship deliverables and cross-promotion where grants content or events are part of broader sponsorship packages.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in product or subscription marketing, preferably in B2B, education, or information services.
- Strong background in email marketing and CRM, ideally with Salesforce/Marketing Cloud.
- Demonstrated graphic design experience, preferably with hands-on proficiency in Canva for creating digital and social media assets.
- Experience planning and marketing webinars, training, or events.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret campaign data and optimize conversions and revenue.
- Experience managing federal funding and/or grants compliance is a plus but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
